In Chamba (Himachal Plus) patients in India, when they need blood, they or their family have to contact the blood donors and blood banks themselves, which causes them a lot of trouble. In view of this situation, an organization is working in Chamba which provides free blood easily to the needy people. We are talking about the Chamba Saviors Association.

This institution is playing an important role in saving valuable lives not only of the people of Chamba district but also of other districts of the state through blood donation. Evidence of this is that since the beginning of January 2017, the members of the institution have donated more than 1500 units of blood in the last one year. Not only this, Charanjeet Singh, the head of this institution, has himself saved many lives by donating blood 35 times. Every day new youth are added to the organization through social media and their blood group and mobile number are included in the list. Members are connected through social media, they are asked to donate blood if needed. Charanjit Singh, the head of the organization, said that the members of the institution are connected with each other all the time through the WhatsApp group and reach the hospital at the same time when blood is required. Not only youths but also women with the organization Are connected that never hold back from helping them. He said that in case of emergency, the youth associated with the institution do not hesitate to reach the hospital even from remote areas in the late night so that someone's life can be saved. Recently, Yogesh of Saluni area, about 40 km from Chamba, reached Chamba Hospital only at 2 pm to donate blood. He said that the organization includes members of Chamba district as well as Shimla, Nahan, Kangra, Chandigarh and Jammu, who are willing to donate blood 24 hours in every situation.

The institution was honored in Dasuha

Recently, a special honor ceremony was organized by the Blood Machine Welfare Society Mukerian and the Blood Donor and Welfare Society Dasuha in Dasuha. In the program, the heads of those institutions of Himachal, Punjab, Jammu Kashmir and Haryana were honored which are working to save the lives of people through blood donation. In this, Charanjit Singh, the head of the organization was also honored in view of the excellent work of the Chamba Saviors Association.
